Pincing CO 2 : Group 10 (Pd, Pt) silyl pincer complexes in combination with B(C 6 F 5 ) 3 can facilitate the efficient catalytic conversion of CO 2 to methane with a tertiary silane as the reductant under mild conditions. The reduction involves the formation of Pd and Pt formatoborate complexes.
