Extreme synthesis : High‐temperature/high‐pressure synthetic methods have been used to prepare the first actinide aluminoborate, UO 2 [B 3 Al 4 O 11 (OH)]. This material displays rich coordination chemistry and remarkable thermal stability despite being a hydrous phase.
