The efficient use of the gate‐opening effect in the zeolite imidazolate framework ZIF‐7 upon adsorption of light alkene/alkane mixtures might open the door to a new separation technology based on selective alkane adsorption. A detailed investigation of the adsorption and separation of alkanes and alkenes, as well as a rigorous performance assessment is reported in the Full Paper by J. Gascon et al. on page 8832 ff .
