The QTAIM basins representing the Ni atoms (red, blue) confine the Sr (yellow) double layer in the crystal structure of Sr 2 Ni 3 . The ELI‐D maxima within this double layer signify regions of higher electron localizability and thereby clearly illustrate the SrSr interactions. The bonding situation in this intermetallic phase has been investigated by R. Kniep et al. in the Communication on page 3347 ff.
