Tube versus sphere : Two differently shaped fullerenes, nanotubular D 3 d (3)‐C 96 and the somewhat flat‐sided C 2 (181)‐C 96 are the largest, pristine, empty‐cage fullerenes to be identified structurally by X‐ray crystallography to date.
