Small fullerene isomer : A brand‐new small fullerene D 2 ‐ #916 C 56 has been stabilized by chlorination and its structure with four pairs of fused pentagons has been determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. The availability of this novel #916 C 56 species affords valuable insight into the most prevalent small fullerene.
