Sorting molecules : Effective phase separation of two porphyrin species, namely CoTPP and 2HTPP (TPP= tetraphenylporphyrin, 2HTPP=2H‐tetraphenylporphyrin), on Cu(111) is reported. The separation process can be conclusively explained by the domination of molecule–molecule interactions for CoTPP, whereas the adsorption behavior of 2HTPP is dominated by molecule–substrate interactions (see figure).
