A series of fluorescent… anthracene‐functionalized, imidazolium‐based salts containing the cation [AnCH 2 MeIm] + (An=anthracene and Im=the imidazolium cation) with Cl − , BF 4 − , PF 6 − , SO 3 CF 3 − , [N(CN) 2 ] − , [N(SO 2 CF 3 ) 2 ] − , or PhBF 3 − have been prepared and characterized. In their Full Paper on page 6473 ff. , P. J. Dyson et al. describe the single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis of some of the salts and fluorescence emission analysis.
