Sweet scaffold! Modified fullerene hexaadducts have been used as efficient platforms for the globular multivalent presentation of carbohydrates (see figure). The study of the binding affinity of these glycofullerenes to concanavalin A has been carried out by isothermal titration calorimetry measurements.
