Let there be light! An effective strategy for the design of highly efficient phosphine oxide light‐emitting‐diode hosts with an ortho ‐linked structure has been demonstrated by synthesizing 4‐diphenylphosphoryl dibenzofuran. The ortho linkage of the phosphine oxide moiety has the dual effect of retaining high T 1 levels and efficiently polarising chromophores (see graphic).
