Bionanoprobes with high dispersion stability in water, excellent photostability, and biocompatibility were prepared by encapsulating [Eu(tta) 3 dpbt] (tta=thenoyltrifluoroacetonato, dpbt=2‐( N , N ‐diethylanilin‐4‐yl)‐4,6‐bis‐(3,5‐dimethylpyrazol‐1‐yl)‐1,3,5‐triazine) in water‐dispersible poly(methyl methacrylate‐ co ‐methacrylic acid) nanospheres and modifying the nanosphere surfaces with a monoclonal antibody (see scheme). The bionanoprobes exhibited excellent performance in the target‐specific imaging of live cancer cells.
