Go for the burn! A one‐pot approach to the efficient synthesis of lactic acid through the aerobic oxidation of glycerol in the presence of bases at an atmospheric pressure of O 2 is reported, which combines two consecutive reactions, including oxidative dehydrogenation of glycerol to its dehydrogenated intermediates and their subsequent isomerization (see scheme).
