Under mild conditions , high‐purity ZnO nanoarrays were spontaneously patterned over large areas (see figure) without the use of any templates or catalysts. This simple, economic, and straightforward approach holds promise for overcoming several inherent limitations of the current artificial manners. Their potential electrical, biomedical, and photocatalytic significance were also envisioned and confirmed.
