A fusion of polygons : A unique Dy 10 cluster with four fused Dy 3 triangles has been synthesized by incorporating the polydentate Schiff base ligand H 4 L in two different binding modes in its mono‐ and di‐deprotonated state (see figure). This Dy 10 compound represents the largest lanthanide cluster based on the peculiar Dy 3 triangles, therefore opening a promising route toward the design of novel magnetic materials.
