Biofunctional crystalline colloids are readily prepared by photoaddition of 1‐thio‐β‐sugars (see scheme) onto self‐organized microparticles of poly(2‐[isopropyl/3‐butenyl]‐2‐oxazoline). The material can be used for the selective recognition and separation of lectins.
