Trapped spin trap : CD‐DEPMPO, a cyclodextrin–DEPMPO conjugate spin trap, exhibits improved performances in superoxide detection. Using blood as a biological model system, the superoxide CD‐DEPMPO adduct was still unambiguously detected after 70 min, whereas using DEPMPO the signal of the superoxide adduct was not detected. (DEPMPO=5‐diethoxyphosphoryl‐5‐methyl‐1‐pyrroline‐ N ‐oxide.)
