On and off again : Reversible adsorption and separation of a series of aromatic C 6 –C 8 compounds (see figure) have been performed on Cd II L 2 ( L = 4‐amino‐3,5‐bis(4‐pyridyl‐3‐phenyl)‐1,2,4‐triazole) single crystals that can retain single crystallinity after heating to 300°C.
