Switch the lights on and off! A new series of photochromic diarylethene‐containing dithieno[3,2‐b:2′,3′‐d]pyrroles has been synthesized through Suzuki cross‐coupling reactions and characterized. They display significant photoswitching luminescence behavior upon UV excitation (see scheme). Photophysical, photochromic, electrochemical, and computational studies have also been performed.
