Cool threads! Complete solubilisation of cucurbit[8]uril was observed when the macrocycle was dissolved in a water solution containing protonated 4‐amino‐2,2,6,6‐tetramethyl piperidine‐ N ‐oxyl. Slow cooling of this solution to 5 °C led to the formation of a long fibrous network (see figure).
