Shine a light : Our search for an efficient and stable photocatalyst under visible light led to the synthesis of a composite semiconductor H 2 WO 4 ⋅ H 2 O/AgCl, in which AgCl particles are formed on the surface of H 2 WO 4 ⋅ H 2 O particles (see figure). H 2 WO 4 ⋅ H 2 O/AgCl absorbs strongly in the visible region, and is an efficient and stable photocatalyst under visible light.
