Cyclic copper complex : A coordination compound with a cyclic ladder Cu 8 S 8 structure showed a clear interconversion between dicationic, monocationic, and neutral species (see graphic). These octacopper complexes are regarded as a new type of non‐innocent complex, and the dicationic and monocationic species in which radical(s) are delocalized over the Cu 8 S 8 core, give an intense near‐IR absorption band.
