Considering the analysis performed upon the natural and antropic factors of the most important values of the Sub‐Carpathian hills in Romania, according to the Romanian Government Decision no.447/200, a study regarding the factors intended to reduce the negative impacts that can generate loss of life and significant material damage, is necessary to be carried out. The landslide hazard maps are very usefull for the identification of the future feasible investments on transport infrastructure in the context of the locally accelerated development. Therefore, detailed maps based on regional research of slopes and geotechnical studies would be highly appreciated. The specificity of the hilly area of the Subcarpathians, which is a hostile enviroment and is constantly changing from geomorphological (for the variation of the relief features and the elements of the earth surface), anthropogenic, geological and hydrogeological point of view, the peculiarity of the hilly area of the Subcarpathians consists of being an hostile and constantly changing environment.
