Invited for this month's cover picture is the group of Dr. Robbyn K. Anand at Iowa State University. The Front Cover shows three golden tridents hovering above a stormy sea as a representation of the interdigitated bipolar electrode (IDBPE) array discussed in this work. The offset reflection of the tridents in the water emphasizes the interdigitation of the electrodes. The red glow at the tip of the trident handle represents the light produced by the electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) reaction at the reporting end of each IDBPE. The lightning that travels along the length of the trident illustrates the electronic coupling between the sensing and reporting ends of the bipolar electrode. We chose the trident to represent this electrochemical system because it evokes a sense of power, which points to the potential of the interdigitation for signal amplification.
