The Front Cover shows a new leveler for copper electroplating from fatty acid quaternary ammonium surfactant, which is based on renewable resources. Electrochemical evaluation shows that at the same concentration, the new leveler presents excellent inhibition of electrodeposition, whereas the commercial leveler Janus Green B only weakly inhibits the electrodeposition process.
