To review mass transfer trays from a process point of view, the dependence of efficiency on the loadings, the loading range and the maximum loadings with an acceptable tray efficiency have to be known. Comparing the results taken from experiments on Dualflex trays and from other types of trays which have been in industrial applications for many years and which are recognized as “industrial standard”, has been evaluated in this review.
