A novel reactor arrangement for the anionic polymerization of styrene described in this paper comprises alternating adiabatically operated plug‐flow reactors and heat exchangers. A novel tube‐bundle recycle reactor is presented for the bulk polymerization of styrene and acrylonitrile.
