Vibrating capillary apparatus (VCA) was designed and constructed for the preparation of sulphamethoxazole (SMZ) microcapsules using gelatin as a coating polymer. The microcapsules were characterized by physico‐chemical methods. The apparent diffusion coefficient D a and diffusion rate constant K BL of the drug were measured at pH of 1.2 and 7.2. Better controlled release products were obtained in the VCA.
