Potassium superoxide (KO 2 ) particles as the main air revitalization component were prepared by electrohydrodynamic (EHD), spray drying, and drum drying methods. Morphology and crystallinity of the prepared samples were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy and X‐ray diffraction techniques. The results indicate that all obtained samples crystallized in tetragonal form and the ones obtained by the EHD method have the most uniform and higher degree of crystallinity. An accelerating aging technique was employed to determine the decomposition kinetic parameters (activation energy Ea , pre‐exponential factor A , and decomposition reaction model) and chemical lifetime of the obtained particles. KO 2 particles obtained by the EHD method showed the highest stability and shelf‐life of all investigated samples.
