Pressure fluctuations in bubble columns are analyzed for regime identification. Cross‐correlation function (CCF) analysis was used to retrieve hydrodynamic information contained in the pressure time series. The characteristic time of CCF gave approximate information about the liquid flow structure and allowed the evaluation of the velocity of liquid flow near the wall. This method was shown to be an efficient indicator in distinguishing between three flow regimes.
