A better understanding of the influence of particle size distribution on mechanical deliquoring in a centrifugal field is attempted. Based on well‐known models, the influence of the entire particle size distribution on filtering deliquoring in the centrifugal field was studied. A second objective is to develop a procedure in order to minimize the necessary experimental effort to characterize materials with variable particle size distributions.
