The present contribution deals with model studies on n ‐decane isomerization over the magnesium‐containing aluminophosphates MgAPO‐11 (AEL topology), MgAPO‐5 (AFI), and MgAPO‐41 (AFO). A particular aim of this study was to elucidate the influence of the pore diameter on the product selectivity. The pore diameter was reduced in the following order: MgAPO‐5 ( d p = 0.73 nm) > MgAPO‐41 ( d p = 0.43 × 0.70 nm) > MgAPO‐11 ( d p = 0.39 × 0.63 nm).
