The Cover Feature illustrates the catalytic oxidation of carbon monoxide promoted by CeO 2 and the effect on the electrical properties characterised by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). In their Full Paper, X. Vendrell et al. demonstrate that the electrical sensitivity of CeO 2 to the surrounding atmosphere permits to follow the catalytic oxidation of CO at different CO:O 2 ratios and temperatures. The combination of catalytic tests and EIS represents a novel and powerful approach to infer on the transport properties of ceria under reaction conditions. The appropriate use of the electrochemical spectroscopy technique could aid the elucidation of the redox processes governing the surface chemical reactions. More information can be found in the Full Paper by X. Vendrell et al.
