The Cover Feature shows an alternative way for the highly selective production of light olefins from alkanes by using modified acid‐base ZSM‐5 derived from core‐shell ZSM‐5@aqueous miscible organic‐layered double hydroxides (LDH).In their Full Paper, C. Rodaum et al. demonstrate the fabrication of the core‐shell ZSM‐5@AMO‐LDHs prepared by the growth of LDH precursors on zeolite surfaces. Because of a significant decrease in the number of strong Brønsted acid sites on zeolite surfaces after the surface modification, a significant enhancement in light olefins production compared with the pristine zeolite is observed due to the suppression of competing hydride transfers and further side reactions. This first example opens up the new perspectives for the development of modified acid‐base zeolites using ZSM‐5@AMO‐LDHs for the catalytic upgrading of hydrocarbons. More information can be found in the Full Paper by C. Rodaum et al.
