The Front Cover shows that ceria‐promoted oxidative redispersion of platinum crystallites supported on alumina occurs during propane oxidation in O 2 ‐rich conditions and oxygen activation at Pt/ceria interfaces promotes propane oxidation at low‐temperature for automotive exhaust purification. In their Communication, C. Wang et al. show that oxidized platinum is more active for propane oxidation at ∼200 °C than metallic platinum under near to stoichiometric conditions and XPS Pt 4d region curves should be employed to analyze chemical states of active platinum in the Al‐containing Pt based catalyst to avoid the overlapping effects of the Pt 4f and Al 2p spectral regions. More information can be found in the Communication by C. Wang et al. on page 2054 in Issue 8, 2019 (DOI: 10.1002/cctc.201900190).
