The Cover Feature shows a structurally well‐defined platinum complex bearing a bulky “supersteric” N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand. This complex catalyzes the regio‐ and stereoselective dimerization of terminal acetylenes, whereas the analogues with sterically less‐hindered NHC ligands cannot promote the process. In their Communication, P. Żak et al. demonstrate that changes in the steric properties of the NHC ligand may drastically affect the catalytic properties of the corresponding complexes and generate new reactivity. More information can be found in the Communication by Żak et al. on page 3627 in Issue 19, 2017 (DOI: 10.1002/cctc.201700580).
