The Cover shows a versatile dealumination strategy to stabilize NaY zeolite through a cannibalistic interaction between host framework Al and guest aluminum sulphate. This unique chemical pathway features simultaneous removal of framework aluminum species and sodium cations, and also shows the advantages of making full use of the interaction between Al species. In their Communication, Z. Shi et al. demonstrate how these zeolites possess greatly enhanced hydrothermal stability and the resultant catalysts meet the practical utilization in the catalytic cracking of heavy oil. More information can be found in the Communication by Z. Shi et al. on page 1891 in Issue 11, 2016 (DOI: 10.1002/cctc.201600211).
