The Front Cover shows that alkali treatment is reported as a novel and promising method to functionalize CNTs, which can subsequently be used as a support of an iron catalyst for the Fischer–Tropsch synthesis reaction. In their Communication, R. Liu et al. investigated the structure–activity relationship of the supported iron catalyst and Fischer–Tropsch synthesis for clean oil production. The iron catalyst supported on alkali‐treated CNTs displays enhanced catalytic performance and remarkably high selectivity for diesel production. Simultaneously, the universal applicability of alkali modification on other kinds of carbon materials for the supported iron catalyst is also verified. More information can be found in the Communication by R. Liu et al. on page 1454 in Issue 8, 2016 (DOI: 10.1002/cctc.201501219).
