The Cover shows how by optimizing the hydrophobic properties of silica particles, deliberate dodecanol/glycerol/dodecanol double emulsions could be designed to facilitate the diffusion of glycerol and dodecanol into the microenvironment near the acid sites. In their Communication, H. Shi, Z. Fan et al. show how the hydrophilic/hydrophobic nature of polystyrene‐grafted silica nanoparticles bearing sulfonic acid centers can impact the interfacial catalytic properties in the biphasic etherification reaction of glycerol with dodecanol in the presence of Pickering emulsions.
