The Back Cover picture shows that a less expensive, cleaner, and more selective process for the catalytic hydrogenation of squalene is crucially important to make squalane production from renewable biomass the industrial process of choice. In their Full Paper V. Pandarus et al. describe how the fully chemoselective hydrogenation of squalene into fully saturated squalane is smoothly achieved under mild conditions over the sol–gel entrapped palladium catalyst Silia Cat Pd 0 . The article highlighted by this cover can be found on p. 2071 ff. of Issue 14, 2015.
