Abstract A monovacant Keggin‐type polyoxometalate‐supported trirhenium carbonyl derivate [(CH 3 ) 4 N] 5 H 23 [(PW 11 O 39 ){Re(CO) 3 } 3 (μ 3 ‐O)(μ 2 ‐OH)] 4 ⋅ 24 H 2 O was synthesized. It was used as a catalyst for the synthesis of cyclic carbonates from carbon dioxide and epoxides under mild reaction conditions with co‐catalyst pyrrolidinium bromide. The catalyst system was recycled 10 times with only a small decline in yield. The catalytic mechanism was hypothesized based on experimental results and the frontier orbitals computed by DFT calculations.
