A solid‐state ion‐exchange method was developed to synthesize Cu‐SSZ‐13 catalysts with excellent performance in the selective catalytic reduction of NO x with NH 3 (NH 3 ‐SCR) and with durable hydrothermal stability. Experiments provide evidence that isolated Cu ions were successfully exchanged into the pores, which are the active centers for the NH 3 ‐SCR reaction.
