Rhodium teaches toleration: The diolefin‐amine–Rh I complex [Rh(OTf)(trop 2 NH)(PPh 3 )] (see scheme) is an effective pre‐catalyst for the amidation of a wide range of aldehydes with primary amines. The corresponding amides are obtained in good‐to‐excellent yields under very mild reactions conditions and a variety of functional groups are tolerated.
