The silica matrix revolutions: A single‐phase bimetallic Pt 3 Sn catalyst, which was obtained by a “ship‐in‐a‐bottle” synthesis of a mesoporous‐silica matrix around single‐phase preformed colloids, is very selective in the dehydrogenation of isobutane and very active in the low‐temperature oxidation of CO under preferential oxidation conditions.
