Key Clinical Message We report a case of a 76‐year‐old man with fibrocavitary nontuberculous mycobacterial ( FC ‐ NTM ) lung disease, who was successfully treated with right extrapleural completion pneumonectomy. Right extrapleural completion pneumonectomy with careful coverage of the bronchial stump might be effective in patients with FC ‐ NTM lung disease.
