Key Points Valve thrombosis is a rare but relevant and potentially fatal complication of transcatheter interventions (TAVI) that is usually resolved by oral anticoagulant therapy. Advanced imaging including 4D‐CT is pivotal for the diagnosis. Patient‐ and procedure‐related factors that increase the risk of valve thrombosis include obesity, renal failure, thrombocytopenia, valve‐in‐valve implantation, lack of predilation, and use of balloon‐expandable prosthesis.
