Key Points The use of VA‐ECMO for patients with cardiac arrest or cardiogenic shock in the cardiac catheterization laboratory may be associated with improved survival. Clinicians should be aware of a high complication rate of this therapy. Further data is needed to best select the appropriate form of mechanical circulatory support in this clinical context.
