Key Points Advanced intravascular imaging or fractional flow reserve in acute myocardial infarction patients may be safely performed and may be associated with clinical benefits. Since this is a nonrandomized registry with too few numbers to adequately evaluate mortality, it is uncertain whether clinical outcomes are truly improved. Adequately powered randomized trials using advanced imaging versus angiographic guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) would be helpful.
