Key Points The use of percutaneous ventricular assist device (PVAD)‐assisted high‐risk percutaneous coronary intervention (HRPCI) is increasingly common. When used in select patients, PVAD‐assisted HRPCI is a safe and effective alternative to intra‐aortic balloon pump. Further high‐quality study is needed on this important subject.
