Key Points Same‐day discharge (SDD) following elective outpatient peripheral arterial interventions is safe and feasible. Patients seem to have a poor understanding of the expected benefit of peripheral percutaneous interventions. Patients randomized to SDD had lower pain control, perceived level of safety, and confidence scores after the procedure relative to the overnight stay group.
