Key Points Failed CTO angioplasty was divided in two groups: with and without “subintimal plaque modification.” At 1‐month, patients treated with “subintimal plaque modification” had larger increases in health status as assessed by the Seattle Angina Questionnaire. The relatively small sample size and the lack of a longer follow‐up period does not allow definite conclusion in terms of safety or clinical events.
